Iraq reports 4,724 COVID-19 infections


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Baghdad, Sep. 22 (Petra) -- A total of 4,724 COVID-19 cases were recorded in Iraq on Tuesday, bringing the caseload in the republic to 327,580, according to a report issued by the Iraqi Ministry of Health.
COVID-19, a respiratory disease caused by the novel and highly contagious coronavirus, killed 57 within the last 24 hours as the death toll in the country surpasses 8,682, the ministry added.
Moreover, 3,682 patients recovered within the last 24 hours as the tally hits 261,757, it highlighted.
