Over 3,000 coronavirus cases reported in Namibia

Health authorities in Namibia said on Monday that 152 more patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus, increasing the total number of coronavirus cases across the country to 3,101.

The health minister of the country, Kalumbi Shangula, said that 73 out of the 152 new cases are from Windhoek, with 64 of them from Walvis Bay and the rest are from different towns in Namibia.

The official said that "we are strengthening control measures in Windhoek as well as in all areas, to curb the further spread. These include increasing testing, increasing isolation and quarantine facilities, among others".

The number of coronavirus recoveries across the country has reached 715 so far as the number of deaths stood at 19.
