Afghanistan confirms 174 additional coronavirus cases

The public health ministry Afghanistan said on Sunday that 174 more coronavirus cases were reported in the country, increasing the total number of COVID-19 infections across Afghanistan to 35,463.

Adding that 1,181 coronavirus deaths took place since the outbreak of the virus in the country in February, as 17 of them happened in the earlier 24 hours.

The statement also said that the total number of coronavirus recoveries in the country stands at 23,641 as of Saturday as 361 more patients have recovered from the disease since early Saturday

Adding that a total of 633 coronavirus tests were carried out in 16 of the 34 provinces in the country in the earlier 24 hours, as the total set at 83,751.
