Jordan- PM mourns passing of former minister Asfour
(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Omar Razzaz on Sunday mourned the passing of former industry and trade minister Mohammed Asfour.
Expressing condolences to Asfour's family, the prime minister recalled his great service to the nation in all the positions he held, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Asfour, born in 1935, held the post of minister of industry and trade in 1999, president of the Federation of Jordanian Chambers of Commerce, president of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, board member at Royal Jordanian and President of the International Chamber of Commerce/Jordan.
He was also awarded the Order of the Star of Jordan (Wisam Al Kawkab).
