Sri Lanka- PCR testing increased to 1000 a day
(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) The Ministry of Health has decided to increase the number of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing in the country to over 1000 a day from the current 800.
According to the Ministry of Health, private hospitals have been invited to carry out the testing together with Government hospitals.
The testing will help detect coronavirus patients in the country.
A special discussion in this regard was held at the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID -19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) in Rajagiriya with the participation of the Minister of Health and Indigenous Medicine Pavithra Wanniarachchi and representatives of private hospitals. (Colombo Gazette)
