Kuwait among top 20 countries in Ease of Doing Business 2020 index

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT, Sept 27 (KUNA) — Kuwaitwas ranked among the top 20 countries in the Ease of Doing Business 2020index, out of 190 countries, said Kuwait Direct Promotion Authority(KDIPA) Friday.

In a press release, KDIPA pointed out that this global index is based onten elements representing the commercial activities of enterprises.
It also noted that this preliminary declaration, which preceded theissuance of the report, showed that Kuwait has strengthened efforts toimprove the business environment within the framework of achieving thenational vision 2035 and its objectives.

Kuwait has made progress under the reforms carried out in six elements,namely starting commercial activity, obtaining electricity, registeringproperty, obtaining credit and protecting minority investors' rights andcross-border trade, it added.

KDIPA noted that the importance of this Kuwaiti achievement stems fromits direct and indirect repercussions on making the investment climatein Kuwait more attractive and is conducive to achieving the nationalvision 2035 and its development goals, which increases the efficiency ofthe economic cycle and real job opportunities for the nationalworkforce.
