Jordan- Issawi delivers 25 buses to charities, local institutions


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sept.19 (Petra)-- Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi, head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of Royal Initiatives, on Thursday delivered 25 buses to charities, sport clubs and civil society institutions that sponsor youth, women, the disabled, orphans and the elderly, in implementation of royal directives.
During the ceremony, Issawi said supporting pioneers of charitable, volunteer and youth work came in line with King Abdullah's ongoing directives aimed at empowering these institutions and improving the level and quality of services provided to target groups.
He added that royal initiatives that include various sectors reflect His Majesty's vision to bring about a qualitative leap in providing best services to citizens, which contributes to improving their standard of living and alleviate the difficult conditions they face.
Social Development Minister Basma Ishaqat said the ongoing royal initiatives in touching the needs and concerns of citizens, and improving the level and quality of services provided in various sectors, reflect the extent of efforts exerted to serve different segments of society.
