Jordan- PM meets with GIM president


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, July 16 (Petra) -- Prime Minister Omar Razzaz Tuesday met with president and members of the Greater Irbid Municipality (GIM) and the governorate council in the presence of a number of officials and MPs.
GIM President Hussein Bani Hani briefed Razzaz on the projects that the municipality had undertaken and its aspirations in implementing important projects in the service, development and investment sectors.
Razzaz underlined the role of the GIM, established in 1881, as the Kingdom's oldest and biggest municipality, pointing out that the municipalities contributed to the prosperity in Jordan in all fields and at all levels.
"Through our qualified human resources, we are able capable of entering the epoch of the fourth industrial revolution," he said, pointing out that the Irbid Development Area is a pioneer in the three dimensional industry that is based on investing in programing and the huge technological advance.
Razzaz said that the financial support to the municipalities will witness an increase by the year of 2020, as well as loans and grants facilities that reflect the municipal work, especially in the development and investment aspects to make the development impact more tangible to people.
