Bad weather leaves 146 towns and villages in Ukraine without electricity


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) On the night of May 20 to 21, bad weather left 146 populated areas in five regions of Ukraine without electricity, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has reported.

"Bad weather conditions (strong winds, rain, thunderstorm) caused blackouts in 146 populated areas in 5 regions, in particular: Lviv region - 83 populated areas, Ternopil region - 23, Ivano-Frankivsk region - 20, Chernivtsi region - 12, and Zhytomyr region - 8, the statement says.


In addition, more than 3,000houseswere flooded in Ivano-Frankivsk region.


Emergency teams of regional power distribution companies have started to conduct needed repairs to resume electricity supply.
