Economy of Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic grows by 0.8%

In the 1Q2019, the GDP of Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) amounted to 535.97 million manats, which is 0.8 percent more compared to the 1Q2018, Trend reports referring to the NAR State Statistical Committee.

GDP per capita in the reported period amounted to 1,174 manats, having increased by 1.5 percent over a year.

The largest share of GDP (31.4 percent) was formed at the expense of industry.

The volume of industrial production in the NAR increased by 1.2 percent to 246.51 million manats, agricultural products by 2.4 percent to 28.53 million manats, cargo transportation by 2.3 percent to 3.43 million manats, and the volume of services rendered in the field of communications and information increased by 3.3 percent to 13.1 million manats.
