AMMAN, April 6, (KUNA): Kuwait wheelchair basketball team won the bronze medal in the West Asian Wheelchair Basketball Championship, trailing to two Iraqi teams who won the first and second places.
Team director Shafi Al-Hajri told KUNA competitions were tough and games were exciting throughout the five-day championship.
He said the Kuwaiti team consisted of young players who would continue as a group for quite some time. He congratulated Kuwait team player Abdullah Al-Khaldi who was named the Most Valuable Player.
the championship brought teams from Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Palestine and Lebanon.
