Turkish economic confidence up 3.1 percent


(MENAFN) Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) unveiled on Thursday the country to have recorded a 3.1 percent boost in its economic confidence index in March.

Compared to February's economic confidence index of 79.4, the statistical institute revealed, it stood at 81.9 this month.

TurkStat explained that the jump is attributed to a recovery in consumer, real sector, services, and construction confidence indices.

It added that the construction confidence index registered a 4.4 percent jump while the consumer index witnessed a boost by 2.9 percent.
