Qatar attending Arab Leaders meet
CAIRO: The high-level Arab Leaders conference, organised by the Arab Parliament to promote Arab solidarity started yesterday at the Arab League Headquarters in Cairo, with a number of former and current heads of government and ministers participating.
The State of Qatar is participating in the conference with a delegation from the Shura Council headed by Deputy Speaker of the Council, H E Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti.
The aim of the conference is to prepare an Arab document jointly prepared by the Arab Parliament and high-level Arab leaders with deep knowledge and extensive experience in joint Arab work.
The document focuses on enhancing solidarity among Arab countries and facing their challenges. The document will be presented by the Arab Parliament to the Arab League summit that will take place in March in Tunisia.
