Two more church communities in Vinnytsia region join Ukrainian Orthodox Church


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Two more church communities in Vinnytsia region, the first ones in the Sharhorod district, joined the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the press service of the Vinnytsia eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church reports.

"The first two church communities in the Sharhorod district joined the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Together with their senior priest Mykhailo Ivchenko, such a decision was made by the parishioners of the Church of St. Demetrius of Solun in the village of Budne and the Church of St. Nicholas in the village of Zvedenivka (Popelivka)," the statement reads.

According to the Religious Information Service of Ukraine, 17 church communities in Vinnytsia regions have switched to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate.
