Oman- ROP arrests eight persons for stealing, vandalism


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Eight persons have been arrested on various charges in five cases, the ROP tweeted on Monday.

Officials from the Ruwi Police Station arrested six persons in three cases. Giving details of the arrests, an ROP official said, 'Two were held for stealing money from an expatriate. Two others were arrested for vandalising and stealing cash from a shop.

'In the third case, two Asians robbed an expatriate after breaking into his residence. They assaulted him and stole around RO300.'

The ROP arrested a person from Misfah in Bausher for stealing batteries and parts of vehicles parked at the headquarters of a company. 'The accused confessed to the crime and said he was selling the stolen goods to scrap shops in the area.'

Officials from the Seeb Police Station arrested an Asian for stealing cables from buildings under construction in Seeb.
