Human rights supreme commission formed in Egypt


(MENAFN) Egypt was announced to have formed its new Supreme Standing Committee for Human Rights, with the country's foreign minister or his delegate as its leader.

Ministries of Defense, Social Solidarity, Justice, Parliamentary Affairs, and Interior are part of the new supreme committee.

The General Intelligence, Administrative Control Authority, and the National Council for Women are also included in the human rights committee.

The committee will also be covering the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, the National Council for Disability Affairs and the Public Prosecution.

The new committee has the power to request help from individuals or entities specialized in areas of human rights.
