Crowds of Ramallah on Sunday took part in the funeral of Mohammed Ibrahim Shreiteh, 28, from the West Bank town of Al-Mazra'a Al-Gharbiya, who died yesterday due to wounds he sustained two weeks ago.

The Ministry of Health in Ramallah announced yesterday the death of Mohammed in the Istishari hospital in Ramallah, after he was shot by 20 live bullets fired by Israeli soldiers against Palestinian protesters over land seizures on October 26.

Hundreds of residents of the village and neighboring villages gathered in front of the hospital and chanted slogans and calling for protection of Palestinian citizens, amid a cloud of sadness that took over the village.

The village witnessing weekly confrontations against the backdrop of ongoing Israeli attempts to confiscate Palestinian land owned by the villagers called for the expansion of settlement projects.
