Uzbekistan, Qatar eye to boost trade turnover
Uzbekistan and Qatar intend to expand trade and economic cooperation and achieve sustainable growth in mutual trade, the Foreign Trade Ministry of Uzbekistan stated.
According to the information, Deputy Foreign Trade Minister Sahib Saifnazarov held talks with representatives of Qatar's business community headed by Chairman of the Barwa Group of Companies Sheikh Mohammed Hamad Al-Thani.
The parties discussed possibilities of trade and economic cooperation in the spheres of logistics, transport, textile industry, production and export of fruits and vegetables.
Representatives of the Qatari delegation noted that development in the trade, economic and investment sectors of Uzbekistan contributes to improvement of bilateral cooperation and expressed interest in increasing cooperation with the country.
The Qatari delegation will also hold meetings in Tashkent and Bukhara with representatives of numerous ministries, departments and industrial companies of Uzbekistan.
