Oman- Muscat Municipality to start five new fun rides at Riyam Park

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- To attract more visitors especially children to Riyam Park, Muscat Municipality is introducing five new rides soon. These fun rides can be enjoyed by both children and adults.

Majan Consolidated Company which manages the fun rides at Riyam Park has given the contract to Henan Swonder Amusement Rides Company (also Sinorides), a Chinese firm to install the rides.

Work is going at a fast pace and the fun rides are likely to open to public soon.

Speaking to Muscat Daily, Zaid Salim Hamed Alramimi, group administrative affairs manager in Majan Consolidated Company said, 'We are introducing five new rides in Riyam Park. They are Spiral Jet, Mini Pendulum, Self Control Plane, Jumping Circle and High Speed Family Coaster rides. These rides will be open to both adults and children.'

Alramimi said that it was felt for some time that it was the right time to introduce some new rides to attract families.

'Families always look for something new. There are so many entertainment options available. So we have to keep innovating to attract visitors.'

He said that Sinorides is known across the world for its fun rides.

'Chinese amusement firms are known all over the world for their fun rides. After studying several options, we decided to give the contract to this firm.'

Regarding the fate of the old rides he said, 'We have finished maintenance work of the old rides which will be installed at different places inside the same park. So old rides will not go away.'

THE RIDES
High Speed Coaster Ride: It is a classic amusement park ride. It operates on a designed track which gives people the feeling of sitting in a real train. The maximum speed can be 5.6m/s.

Pendulum Ride: A type of a popular frisbee ride, it comprises a circular gondola which swings back and forth. The pendulum is suspended between two support frames. Attached to the base of this pendulum is a circular gondola. Riders are seated on the gondola of the big pendulum ride facing outward.

Self Control Plane: It is an amusement ride which revolves around the vertical axis and goes up and down freely.

The centre is usually a rocket or some other shaped decoration, and passengers can control the operational lever to rise or fall freely.

Jumping Circle Ride: It is a type of free fall tower amusement ride, based around a central structure of tower. Jumping Circle is very popular among teenagers. It has cool decorations, special lights and sound system to wow visitors. Riders can be lifted to a height of approximately 30ft.

Spiral Jet: It has an integrated combination of spinning, lifting, flying and bouncing.
