US to increase spending on support for Ukraine


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The draft consolidated appropriations act for 2018 fiscal year, agreed by the Senate and the House of Representatives, which provides for increase in spending on support for Ukraine, has been presented at the U.S. Congress.

As the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States wrote on Facebook, the act provides for the allocation of $620.7 million to Ukraine.

In particular, $200 million is allocated for Pentagon to provide military-technical assistance to Ukraine, which is $50 million more than the appropriations for 2017.

To enter into force, the consolidated appropriations act is to be approved by the Senate and the House of Representatives and signed by the U.S. President.
