Qatar- Device to disconnect cellphone during driving exhibited

Doha: A new device invented by Qatar Scientific Club to disconnect cell phone connection in driving vehicles was exhibited yesterday at the pavilion of the Club at the 34th Traffic Week celebrations at Darb Al Saai.
The Director of the General Directorate of Traffic, Brigadier Mohammed Saad Al Kharji said that it was an important device and the traffic department will study the possibility of employing it and making the installation of the device a condition for vehicles to pass technical inspection.
'Talking on mobile phones while driving has become a problem and main factor behind traffic accidents not only in Qatar, but in many countries of the world. This invention will help us fighting this problem, Al Kharji.
