(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Mar. 7 (Petra)-- His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Wednesday, received Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance Shiekh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and reviewed with him bilateral ties and ways to further boost them in various fields.
In a meeting at Al Husseinyah Palace in the presence of HRH Prince Faisal Bin al-Hussein, His Majesty highlighted the strong ties between Amman and Abu Dhabi, voicing the Kingdom's desire to promote economic and trade cooperation with the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
His Majesty voiced his appreciation of the support and aid provided by the UAE, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to enable the Kingdom to implement development programs, as well as, the military aid.
His Majesty praised the role carried out by Al Maktoum Foundation in supporting small- and medium-sized projects in Jordan.
The meeting touched on the investment privileges and competitiveness that Jordan's economy enjoys, mainly, in transport, health and energy fields.
Sheikh Hamdan voiced his country's keenness to cement ties with the Kingdom in various fields of cooperation, stressing the Foundation's desire to support projects that aim at creating job opportunities for Jordanian youth.
