Jordan- MP Yaghi meets Georgian envoy


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Jan. 17 (Petra)-Head of the House Jordanian-Georgian Friendship Committee, MP Mustafa Yaghi, held talks with Tbilisi's ambassador to Amman, Gregory Tabatadze, on ways to further foster bilateral ties and to forge closer inter-parliamentary cooperation.

During a visit to the Georgian embassy's headquarters here on Wednesday, Yaghi said "deep" bilateral relations serve the two countries' interests and added House diplomacy bids aim to bolster ties with friendly nations.

Discussions also eyed to develop mutual economic and tourism cooperation and touched on joint accords preliminarily inked between the two countries.

He also lauded Tbilisi's role to combat terrorism and extremism.

Tabatadze, for his part, commended "advanced" level of bilateral cooperation and voiced keenness to bolster them to realize mutual interests.

The envoy also valued the Kingdom's key role towards regional and global issues under the prudent leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah.
