Jordan- Authorities Make 3,000 Criminal Arrests in One Week

AMMAN —AlGhad— Personnel with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) arrested 2,948 suspects and fugitives last week, according to a statement by the Public Security Directorate (PSD) today, Sunday.

The detainees include 1,285 police fugitives, 618 wanted for trial, 26 wanted for narcotic charges and the rest for various other counts, including human trafficking and murder.

According to the Police statement, 16 firearms were confiscated, and many sharp weapons and tools.
