Director of Royal Archives Bahija Simou Receives French Legion of Honor
(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Rabat - Bahija Simou, director of the Royal Archives will be awarded "French Legion of Honor" by the French ambassador to Morocco, Jean-François Girault, on Thursday, December 7, according to Telquel. The French diplomat will present then the insignia of Officer of the National Order of Legion of Honour to Bahija Simou, who is also the mission head at the royal cabinet, in "recognition of services she provided to the cooperation and the relationship of friendship between France and Morocco." Simou has a distinguished career in the field of university research and the promotion of cultural and scientific projects. Due to her experience in organizing cultural activities, she has often been appointed curator of several cultural events which have left an impressive resonance, such as the "Invalides," and "Splendours of script in Morocco, rare and unpublished manuscripts" in Paris. She is the author of several books. In November 2016 in Paris, she presented her book entitled Morocco and France, the path to independence, 1912-1956. In 2002, the French Ministry of Culture and Communication awarded her a Knight of Order of Arts and Letters (Chevalier dans l'ordre des arts et des lettres). "
