PESHAWAR, 20 August: Khyber Pakhtunhwa government Sunday announced allowing Punjab government medical team to help in combating the dengue diseases which has paralyzed smooth business in Peshawar.
Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir in a news conference informed that it is an alarming situation whereas thousands of people are believed to be affected. He said that four union council of the provincial capital. ' On the single day, one Unit has screened 800 out of which 200 proved positive,' he remarked and said that two more units are on way from Punjab to Peshawar for brining the situation under control. Conditions of three patients is in danger, he added.
Criticising the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, he said that earlier he established contacts with Health Minister Shah Raam Khan and other higher authorities to allow access Punjab Physicians but they shown reluctance.
Later, Sharam Tarakai, in view frequent contacts, agreed to allow Punjab government team to help affected people, he said. In this respect, schedule could be finalized during a meeting on Sunday afternoon.
