Morocco Third Attractive Destination in Africa: World Economic Forum
The Kingdom ranked third on the Africa level, behind South Africa and Mauritius and in 65th place worldwide in the WEF, which lists of 136 countries.
Morocco topped the chart on the North Africa level in terms of tourism competitiveness, ahead of Egypt (74th), Tunisia (87th) and Algeria (118th).On a scale of 1 to 7, the Kingdom's index is 3.81, the report says, placing the country as the 20th safest travel destination in the world for tourists.
Regarding the indicator that measures attractiveness of the business environment in Africa, Morocco placed 49th among the 136 countries examined.The Kingdom also ranked 47th in terms of price competitiveness, 47th regarding the valorization of natural resources and the 41st concerning cultural resources.
On an international level, Spain took the top spot, followed by France and Germany. Japan came in fourth, ahead of the United Kingdom and the United States.According to the World Forum, global tourism accounts for one in ten jobs, and its growth exceeds that of other industries. The report also stressed the importance of connectivity as a determining factor in the success of tourism.
