Iceland mulls raising refugee quotas


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Reykjavik Dhu-AlQa'dah 18 1436 Sep 2 2015 SPA -- Iceland is considering raising the number of quota
refugees the foreign minister said Wednesday amid a lively debate
in social media that the country can do more dpa reported.

Gunnar Bragi Sveinsson said that while Iceland can likely receive
more refugees than the 50 initially planned for in 2015 and 2016
this has to be "well prepared."

Sveinsson said he had so far avoided taking part in a debate on
numbers comparing it to "an auction."
