16 people killed in clashes in Egypt - spokesman
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Clashes in Egypt that marked the fourth anniversary of the January 25, 2011 revolution on Sunday have killed 16 people and injured 50 others, Ministry of Health spokesman said.
Dr. Hosam Abdulghaffar, in a statement to the press, said two persons died in Beheira, one in Alexandria and 13 in Cairo.
He added that the injured suffered burns, suffocation and gun shots.
Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry spokesman Major-General Hani Abdullateef
said one policeman was killed and 11 others injured during the clashes with protesters.
He said security forces have arrested around 150 protesters in different governorates.
