Tokyo Stocks Close Higher Tuesday on Greece Bailout Package
(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Tokyo stocks rose for a fourth straight session Tuesday, following media reports that euro-zone nations and the International Monetary Fund had agreed to review Greece's bailout package.
The Nikkei Stock Average finished the day up 34.36 points, or 0.37%, at 9,423.30, its highest point since April 27, according to (Nikkei) website.
Shinzo Abe, head of the opposition Liberal Democratic Party, said his party would set an inflation target of 2%, up from the current 1% if it comes to power in the general election.
The yen's decline also provided a floor for exporters.
