Oman- Nizwa records 12mm rainfall in three days


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Several parts of Oman received moderate to heavy rainfall from July 12 to 14. These rains led to overflow of a number of wadis.

Rainfall measurement stations belonging to the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources (MRMWR) recorded the highest amount in the wilayat of Nizwa in the Governorate of Dakhliyah at 12mm.

This was followed by the wilayat of Al Kamil W'Al Wafi in the Governorate of South Sharqiyah at 10mm. In the Governorate of North Sharqiyah, the wilayats of Ibra and Mudhaibi recorded 10mm of rainfall.

The wilayat of Yanqul in the Governorate of Dhahirah received 6mm rainfall while the wilayat of Rustaq in the Governorate of North Batinah recorded 5mm.

Wadi Ghashan in the niyabat of Jebel Akhdar in Nizwa and Wadi Mahram in the wilayat of Samail in the Governorate of Dakhliyah saw good flow of rainwater.

In the Governorate of North Sharqiyah, Wadi Qafifa in the wilayat of Ibra, and Wadi al Munqal in the wilayat of Sur in the Governorate of South Sharqiyah too saw moderate flow of rainwater. In the Governorate of North Batinah, Wadi Shafan in the wilayat of Khabourah and the Wadi al Khadra in the wilayat of Mahdah in the Governorate of Buraimi too witnessed flow of rainwater.
