Ranbir to charge Rs. 1 crore to host IPL prelude?

Ranbir Kapoor is all set to host a two-hour prelude to the Indian Premier League (IPL) final on May 27.
As per media reports, the 'Sanju' star is being paid a whopping crore for the stint.
The pre-match show has been titled as 'Cricket Finals...Party Toh Banti hai' and will be aired on Star Plus.
Ranbir has already shot a promo for the show

The media report stated, "He will be like the curator of the show who will shoot anchoring links. There will be various segments wherein Bollywood stars will appear to promote their films. The show will be deferred live."

In an absolute treat for the viewers, Ranbir will be joined by an array of stars on the show.
Upping the entertainment quotient will be 'Race 3' stars Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez. They will reportedly perform on their latest hit number 'Hiriye'.
Besides, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja will also appear as guests to promote 'Veere Di Wedding'.
Apparently, the organizers had initially approached Ranveer Singh
Context
Another media report has it that the organizers of the cash-rich cricket league had initially approached Ranveer Singh to host the prelude.
However, things did not work out due to some reasons, paving way for Ranbir.
Something similar had transpired at the start of the IPL as well when Ranveer pulled out of performing at the opening ceremony due to a shoulder injury.
