Synchrono Highlights Lean at Successful IndustryWeek Manufacturing and Technology Conference


(MENAFNEditorial) Synchrono featured a well-attended session titled, 'Getting Lean on Inventory at the IndustryWeek Manufacturing & Technology Conference & Expo in Raleigh, NC earlier in the month. John Maher, VP of Product Strategy at Synchrono and Jim Shore, Principal of Quality Lean Solutions presented the session.

Maher and Shore addressed the common manufacturing challenges of too much inventory, stock outs disrupting production, and lack of visibility with suppliers to a well-attended session. Attendees learned how eKanban technology can help to right-size inventory and automate replenishment, even in highly complex, multi-plant environments.

Maher has more than twenty years of experience working in manufacturing and offers subject matter expertise in the areas of ERP, MRP, APS, supply chain, manufacturing planning and scheduling systems, MES, demand-driven manufacturing, and constraints management. Maher's expertise includes incorporating lean and demand-driven strategies into manufacturing organizations to help improve flow, manage constraints and drive on-time production; ultimately leading to increased customer satisfaction and profitability.

Jim Shore is the Principal of Quality Lean Solutions, a Consultancy specializing in Medical Device companies, Supplier Quality and Lean Manufacturing principles. Shore is co-author of 'Proactive Supplier Management in the Medical Device Industry (2016: Quality Press). He is Six Sigma Black Belt and Quality Manager/Operations Excellence-certified by the American Society for Quality (ASQ), as well as an ASQ-certified Quality Auditor and Mechanical Inspector.
