Big Sam was never liked by Everton fans
Not in good books

Despite helping the club to finish in the top half, Everton fans did not prefer the defensive approach of Allardyce.

During his stint, fans disapproved of him and never wanted him as a long-term solution.

Everton chief executive Denise Barrett-Baxendale expressed his gratitude to Sam for his role at the club and said they have decided to now seek a new manager.

Allardyce managed Everton in a total of 26 games and snatched 10 victories besides seven draws and nine losses.

He had a win percentage of 38.5.

Last season he had taken over Crystal Palace and helped them survive relegation after a 24-game spell.

Everton managed just 213 shots on goal under Allardyce which was the lowest in the Premier League.

Marco Silva the man to replace Sam?
New recruit

Former Watford boss Marco Silva is likely to take over the role of the manager at Everton.

He was earlier approached by the club which led to Watford giving him the sack.

Watford had claimed that an unwarranted approach by Everton had seen Silva lose focus.

Silva is still fighting a battle with Watford over legal compensation as Everton hope to open talks.
