Number of parties to take part in election in Turkey announced

Eleven Political parties will participate in the parliamentary and presidential elections to be held in Turkey on June 24, the Supreme Electoral Council (SEC) of Turkey said April 26.
The Electoral Council of the country also approved participation in the election of the "HÜDA PAR" party.
To participate in the parliamentary and presidential election, Turkey's political parties must have headquarters in at least 41 provinces of Turkey.
It should be noted that the leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Devlet Bahceli said he supported the candidacy of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for early presidential election.
Earlier the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated the necessity of holding early presidential and parliamentary election.
"The government welcomed the proposal of [Leader of the Nationalist Movement Party Devlet Bahceli] to hold early election," the head of state said.
Presidential, parliamentary and municipal election was to be held in Turkey in 2019. Parliamentary and presidential election was expected to be held on the same day.
