Brazil: twenty die in prison escape attempt
(MENAFN) Official sources declared that over 20 people have died amid the escape temptation from jail in northern Brazil.
Public security officials confirmed that the incident occurred when gunmen attacked the Santa Izabel Prison building, in the northern city of Belem, capital of the state of Para,in order to free some inmates.
19 prisoners have died while their allies tried to release them, killing prison guard as well.
Another four guard were wounded,as one suffers critical injures, according to public security officials of Para state.
