QFA to hold Emir's Cup draw on Wednesday
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Qatar Football Association (QFA) will be holding the draw for the 46th edition of the HH the Emir's Cup with the participation of 16 clubs. QFA has invited all Qatari clubs in addition to sports personalities to attend the draw ceremony.
The 12 QNB Stars League clubs in addition to four teams from the second division will participate in the draw on Wednesday. The clubs will be distributed in the draw according to their ranking in the QNB Stars League and the Second Division League.
The first round of tournament will kick off with a match between the fourth and fifth place in the second division standings, these are Muaither and Al Shamal. The match will be held at 6.30pm on Tuesday at the Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium of Qatar Sports Club. This year's Emir's Cup will be held at five venues Qatar Sports Club Stadium, Al Arabi Stadium, Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium and Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in addition to the Khalifa International Stadium.
HH the Emir's Cup will also include Trophy Tour with organisers visiting schools and government organisations to build a festive like atmosphere for the fans.

Various committees associated with the organisers are working round the clock to complete preparations for the draw ceremony that will be telecast live on all sports channels in the country.
