Reagan was born in Denton and raised in Plano, Texas, and built some of the most successful software companies in history. After graduating from UNT, Lancaster pushed right to the top of the computer software industry at Wang Labs, where he was sponsored by technology legend An Wang and worked alongside other legends like John Chambers of Cisco and Courtney Wang.

Later, Lancaster joined Oracle corporation and joined Larry Ellison on a mission to build one of the all-time great start-ups and mega software companies.During his time atOracle, Lancaster was one of the only UNT grads. He set sales records and built the Dallas Region for Oracle known as the South Central Region of the US. South Central became the number one region for Oracle Corporation, led by Lancaster. After Oracle, Lancaster's most famous success was with a company he joined as the 19th employee and led from a small Silicon on the Prairie, i.e. Dallas, Texas supply chain and logistics software company, to a billion in sales without any venture money. Faster than Oracle or Microsoft to $1 billion, or a few million to $1.8 billion in justsix years, i2 Technologies became the number one logistics and SCM software company in the world and later was bought out by JDA Software.
