One Ukrainian soldier wounded in ATO area over past day


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) One Ukrainian soldier was wounded in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in eastern Ukraine over the past day.

Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Spokesman for ATO issues Dmytro Hutsuliak said this at a briefing on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"One Ukrainian defender was wounded in enemy shelling. He was taken to hospital, where needed medical assistance was provided to him. The state of his health is moderately severe," he said.

Hutsuliak also informed that in Donetsk direction over the past day, Russian-backed militants launched two attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Avdiivka, using grenade launchers and small arms. At the same time, the ceasefire regime was observed in Luhansk direction, the ministry's spokesman added.
