China, Cambodia begin 'Dragon Gold 2018' joint drill


(MENAFN) China and Cambodia were confirmed to have commenced their second joint exercise on anti-terrorism and humanitarian rescue.

The joint drill was declared to have been launched on Saturday at a training field located in the Maras Prov Mountains.

The "Dragon Gold 2018" is being joined by around 280 soldiers from the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) along with other 216 soldiers from the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).

In his address at the opening ceremony, RCAF commander-in-chief Gen. Pol Saroeun stated "the exercise is vital to exchange experience and further strengthen bilateral cooperation on anti-terrorism and humanitarian work."
