(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The recently held OmanAd's Workshop on IT Audit has been successfully concluded on a high note. The workshop was organised by OmanAd's Seminars and Conference Division in association with Valiant Technologies, India, at Sheraton Oman Hotel.
The workshop was conducted by Dr Rama Subramaniam, Information Security consultant, trainer and educator, with over three decades of experience worldwide. He was assisted by Mahesh Balakrishnan, principal consultant at Valiant Technologies.
The three-day workshop was attended by IT and Audit professionals of various government entities, banking and financial sectors, corporates as well as individuals. The participants understood and learned the versatile skills and had hands-on experience in using the latest tools and techniques required to perform a comprehensive IT audit.
'It was a wonderful experience to learn with the guidance of Dr Subramaniam and it will help all the participants in identifying threats, vulnerabilities and risks prevailing in an organisation's environment in order to minimise risks. It will also enable us to identify potential security gaps and provide recommendations with appropriate justification to improve the security posture of an organisation,' a participant said.
