Lucknow, Feb 22 (KNN) With all eyes set at the ongoing Investment Summit in UP, Nivesh Mitra - a digital platform for clearance of projects through a single window system has been launched.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the Nivesh Mitra during the inauguration session on Wednesday.

With this, Uttar Pradesh has become the first state to come up with such a platform. Nivesh Mitra has been launched in place of Udyog Bandhu, which was the government's single window clearance system.

Through the Nivesh Mitra, investors can apply for project clearances online where there would be no human interface.

According to Anup Chandra Pandey, Commissioner, Infrastructure and Industrial Development, as many as 20 departments have been brought under its ambit and application for 70 clearances can be made through this portal.

Further, all this will be done in a time-bound manner and will be monitored at the highest levels, including the CM's office.

With Nivesh Mitra, investors sitting anywhere in the world can submit details of their project, along with required documentation, on the Nivesh Mitra website. The certificates and documents will be assessed by the respective departments which, if all is in order, have to clear the file digitally.
