Bahrain Mumtalakat discusses investment in SoftBank's private equity

(MENAFN) Bahraini Mumtalakat was confirmed to be in the middle of talks for an investment in the private equity of Softbank Group.

The sovereign wealth fund is considering the possibility to partner with funds from Gulf states, including Abu Dhabi-based Mubadala and Saudi Arabian-based Public Investment Fund.

Chief executive Mahmood AlKooheji reportedly declared "we're talking to them, we haven't made any commitment yet."

He then added "I think it's very interesting, and a lot of people have already put a lot of tickets (investments)."
