Bijnor BJP MLA Lokendra Singh killed in car accident

BJP MLA from Bijnor's Noorpur in UP, Lokendra Singh, died yesterday when the car he was in rammed into a truck in Sitapur.
Singh and his driver were killed on the spot, while his two security guards succumbed to their injuries at a hospital.
Singh was headed to the Investors' Meet in Lucknow scheduled later in the day.
Officials said his Fortuner was speeding.
Singh used to work as an agriculturist earlier
Fact
Singh, about 45, was born in Bijnor. Before joining politics, he used to work as an agriculturist. He won the state elections in March last year to become an MLA in UP's 16th legislative assembly. Singh is survived by his wife and two sons.
