(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Bank Sohar has launched two new offsite ATMs following up on an incisive strategy to expand its operational network across Oman and provide reliable banking solutions to customers.
The two new ATMs have been installed at the Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company (ORPIC) site in Sohar and at Marmul Travel and Tours head office in Al Khuwayr,next to Al Zawawi Mosque.

The expanding network of ATM facilities follows through on the bank's customer-oriented strategy to bring added banking convenience to its clients across Oman. As with all of Bank Sohar ATMs across the sultanate, the new off-site facility has a standard withdrawal limit of up to RO800 per day, in addition to providing value-added services such as mini statements, balance enquiry and PIN change facility. Following the addition of the new ATMs, Bank Sohar will have a total of 60 ATMs across Oman.
Bank Sohar ATMs operate on the OmanNet platform and offer customers easy, convenient access to their accounts at all times, anywhere in the country. ATMs located at each of the bank's branches across the country perform a dual function, dispensing cash as well as being a Cash Deposit Machine (CDM).
They also offer fund transfer services, providing immense value addition along with the advantage of the standard ATM services. The cash deposit facility allows customers to remit cash to their accounts24/7 without having to be physically present at the bank.
The bank's ATMs at Buraimi and Shinas border also operate with the 'Dirhams Dispensing' facility, thus adding immense convenience to businessmen who travel and transact business across the border on a regular basis as well as to customers who visit the UAE.
In addition, Bank Sohar's E-channels, encompassing SMS banking, Internet banking services and a specialised mobile banking application for Android and iPhones, allow customers to access their bank accounts anytime anywhere.
Further, Bank Sohar has implemented the Mobile Payment Clearing and Switching System (MpClear), enabling customers to conduct immediate funds transfers via the App using their phone numbers.
