Tehran dismisses role in downing Israeli jet
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TEHRAN, Feb 10 (KUNA) -- Iran has denied "allegations" by Tel Aviv that it downed an Iranian drone and Tehran was involved in downing an Israeli fighter jet F-16 in Syria's airspace.
Iranian Foreign Ministry's Spokesman Bahram Qasemi said in a press release that the allegations that Iran had a role in downing the Israeli F-16 in Syria's airspace are "ridiculous." Qasemi added that the Syrian government has the right to defend its sovereignty and repulse any foreign aggression.
