QF concludes National Day celebrations at Darb Al Saai

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar Foundation's (QF) 2017 National Day celebrations at Darb Al Saai came to a close yesterday with over 106,500 visitors to its tent during the 12 days of festivities.
The tent, which played host to a range of fun and educational activities, included interactive games based on Siraj, a 3D educational TV series that aims to instil a love of the Arabic language, and the popular National Reading Campaign, which promotes a passion for reading among young people.
Mayan Zebeib, chief communications officer, QF, said, 'We are proud to celebrate the achievements and momentous milestones of Qatar Foundation, alongside Qatar's accomplishments as a whole. Qatar National Day also represents an opportunity to look ahead to the future, and, this year, the tent embodied the colours of the Qatari flag to highlight our commitment to supporting this great country on its journey to becoming a diversified and sustainable economy.
'Our activities were divided across our four mission areas of Pre-University Education, Higher Education, Science and Research, and Community Development.
Bringing together a number of different initiatives, members, and centres under the QF umbrella, we wanted to show how we, as one organisation, are working towards advancing this wonderful nation, Zebeib concluded.
Other activities organised by QF entities and projects included a newsroom studio hosted by Northwestern University in Qatar, an exhibition and a selection of games presented by Stars of Science, a 3D printer provided by Hamad Bin Khalifa University, and a nomination wall as part of QF's Akhlaquna initiative.
