Afghanistan- Don't release Taliban spokesman, court tells Pak govt

(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The federal government has been restrained from releasing former Pakistani Ehsanullah Ehsan without court permission.

Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice Yahya Afridi on Wednesday directed Deputy Attorney General Musaratullah Khan that investigation should continue against Ehsan.

The court expressed dissatisfaction over comments filed on behalf of the defence ministry on a petition challenging a government plan to give the TTP spokesman clemency.

The bench is hearing a petition filed by the father of one of the several students shot dead by Taliban militants in the 2014 attack on the Army Public School (APS) in Peshawar.
