NSDC Secretary Turchynov visited NATO Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov visited the NATO Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, where he held talks with the military leadership of the Alliance, the NSDC press service reports.

During the talks, the parties discussed the current security situation in Ukraine and Europe that occurred as a result of the hybrid aggression of the Russian Federation.

In particular Turchynov said that it is extremely important to increase cooperation between Ukraine and NATO so that to maintain security in Europe. In this context, the parties discussed the possible expansion of military programs that could be implemented with the participation of Ukraine.

The NSDC secretary stressed that Ukraine does not intend to reduce its contribution to the international operations of NATO and the NATO Response Force.

In addition, the parties discussed the improvement of information exchange between the intelligence agencies of Ukraine and the Alliance and cooperation in ensuring a reliable counteraction to cybernetic aggression.

During his stay at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, Turchynov also got acquainted with the experience of the NATO Comprehensive Crisis and Operations Management Center.
