(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Nov. 24 (Petra) -- Jordan on Friday condemned as cowardly terrorist act, an attack on a mosque during Friday prayers in Egypt's Sinai that claimed the lives of dozens of worshippers and left others injured.
State Minister for Media Affairs and government Spokesperson, Mohamamd Momani, said: " This terrorist and inhumane attack which targeted the worshippers, including children and elderly people is fully rejected by all laws and religions".
Those behind the attack had nothing to do with humanity, said Momani.
The odious crime, he added, proves the dark ideology and criminal mindsets of terrorists, who target places of worship and people living in peace.
The official reiterated that Jordan "stands alongside Egypt's government and people against terrorism, calling for concerted regional and international efforts to counter it.
Momani expressed the government's condolences to the Egyptian government over the victims of the terrorist incident, and wished the injured speedy recovery.
